He completed his MBBS from SSMCH Mitford, Dhaka, under Dhaka university 1997 Joined BCS health care 31^st May, 2001 and MS (Thoracic Surgery) from Dhaka University, 2012. He is also well trained in Robotic Surgery (RATS) and video assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) from Medanta hospital, Goregaon, Delhi, India in 2013. He has obtained hands on VATS Training, Minimal Invasive Thoracic Surgery arranged by ATEP, KL, Malayesia, 2019.

Having 15 years of experience he has worked in Faridpur Medical College Hospital, SSMCH, Mitford, Dhaka and National Institute of Chest Disease Hospital (NIDCH) and performed various responsibility of Thoracic Surgery.

Dr Hossain has successfully performed broad spectrum of thoracic surgery by VATS and open procedures at NIDCH and other different regions of Bangladesh. He is also skilled with all types of chest Trauma surgeries, surgery of the chest includes lung, mediastinal, esophagus, trachea, bronchus, pleura, diaphragm, chest-wall, ribs, sternum etc. He is also experienced in diagnosing therapeutic rigid bronchoscope, removal of foreign body, biopsy procedure from airway or esophagus, dilatation and stenting of airway, esophagus, etc.

He has also participated in different national and international seminars, conference and hands on training (VATS) in the country and outside of Bangladesh.
